2.5 min Video Breathing Practice

Last week after my Buddhi class, I decided to take a moment and focus on my breathing. Today, I want to share the importance of why focusing on our breath is very important to our daily routine.

  1. We become present. In this moment, we become aware of our breath which brings us back to living in the NOW. Did you know on average we have approx. 16,000 and 96,000 thoughts a day?!
  1. We get to control and monitor our emotions. When we tune into the moment, we become aware of how we currently feel. Sometimes, you'll even catch yourself either clenching your jaw, scrunching your brows, or even feeling anxious. When we focusing on our breathing patterns, you then find a different outlook on yourself and create a mental thought where you want to be. Always think positive. Happy go lucky.
  1. Meditation kicks in. Start with focusing on your breathing pattern. You see more clearly when you have a breathing pattern.
  1. Acceptance. When we focus on our breath, we start to slow down and realize that we can’t always fix or change things. That sometimes it is better to simply let go.
  1. You find your peace. You are more in tuned with yourself, therefore you can conquer the rest of your day with a calm state of mind.

We all have 2 minutes to spare in our day. Simply stop, and breath. Reset your mind, and focus on positivity. Namaste!
